"Ice Sculptures" Open House June 1996
"Icecraft International, based at Yatala, Brisbane, scored another
world first for Australia in 1987 with its fully re-useable ice sculpture moulds.
The moulds are now in use in over 110 countries around the world and the range has
expanded to 45 designs, and is increasing.
This patented system is so simple —just assemble the mould, fill with water,
freeze, then un-mould —that anyone at all can produce beautifully shaped and detailed ice
sculptures which never fail to delight patrons when displayed. Icecraft advises that
many chefs who are skilled ice-carvers themselves buy the moulds to ease the pressure of
time constraints, allowing them to keep up with the number of sculptures required whilst
hand-crafting only the special orders.
The moulds consist of a strong fibre glass casing with a durable rubber inner lining.
They come with a two year guarantee but will continue to perform for years after
with just reasonable care.
The many sizes and designs available cover a wide range, suitable for almost every
occasion and presentation, and for special effect the sculptures are very easily
colour-tinted." BACK
