Hello again from ‘down under’... Always some drama to report from the Trade Show trips – ended up flying right around the world to attend the CMAA Show in Miami – my flight back missed the Chicago connection for Australia via Tokyo so returned the other way – Amsterdam / Singapore / Brisbane!

Next trip was to Dubai where I was very impressed by so much efficiency and friendliness.

Special thanks to Mr Ehab Fouad Moustafa from “Snow Swan” who supplied the beautiful Icecraft ice sculptures for the Trade Show and to Mr Adil Monier Habib who kindly escorted me on a tour of his “Snow World” attraction.

Apart from touring the large display area of giant ice sculptures I was lucky enough to see large groups of happy excited children on a guided school tour, rugging up in warm jackets and having a wonderful time riding down the artificial snow slopes on inflated tubes.

Here I am pictured with some who are looking a little camera shy! Once the camera was put away the squeals and giggles started afresh...

When next you are dining out in Leintwardine, Shropshire, England call into the Jolly Frog and say ‘Hi’ to Martyn and see his ice sculpture display.

Ade and the team at Strawberry Moons in Maidstone, Kent, England are also having fun showing off their ice sculpture luges at one of UK’s hottest nightclubs.

Viv exhibited our ice molds at the Club Managers show in USA Miami recently and also at the Gulfood show in United Arab Emirates at Dubai – both shows attracted a lot of interest from attendees and other exhibitors. The comments from most people are “WOW! What a great idea” and “we’ve been looking for something like this”.

Thanks to Doug Schroeder “Central Ice” Auburndale. FL. for again making and delivering the lovely Icecraft sculptures.

Sincere thanks also to our friends in business Gourmet Display for all your assistance at the shows – we couldn’t do it without you Yannick & Tim – see you soon in Boston and Hong Kong and the BIG one, Chicago.

Kiwi caller: It was nice to have ‘Livewire’ Margaretha Western visit us again from New Zealand - planning to fit an Icecraft Trade Show display into her busy schedule.

Sometimes we receive requests for information off the internet which give us the person’s email address as the ONLY point of contact.

Please remember that if it comes back undeliverable, we have no way of letting you know- and you will then probably think we have neglected to reply.

Our Horn of Plenty (Cornucopia) - one of our earliest designs and it continues to be one of our best sellers. Functional and long lasting on display. Thanks to Glenn from Global Ice, London for this photo.

When displaying your sculpture, its appearance is further enhanced by the use of lighting, either a small spotlight on the table or from above, or by illumination from under (or inside the base of) the ice sculpture.

Dear Viv,

Just a quick note to say thank you very much for your help over the last few weeks.

The mould is amazing and you will be hearing from us in the next few months for further moulds.

The Classic Swan is proving to be a big success and we have used it dozens of times.

Ice sculptures are a real rarity here in Scotland and it really gives us the WOW factor!

The only problem at the moment is getting the damn thing to melt the next day - temperatures outside here are freezing.
